Roo

I hope you're all having a great Memorial Day weekend! We're having dinner here tonight instead of tomorrow. It's 89 out right now! A little too warm if you ask me!! At 4am this morning it was 68... crazy!

This card is for 4 challenges! One is for the June Card Challenge, but I can't tell you for what category cause they haven't been revealed yet!!

The sketch is from Mojo Monday #140

The two color challenges are ColourQ #34 and Color Throwdown #94.

The colors in these challenges were so close to each other this week, so I'm using it for both!

I really like Mojo Monday's sketches, because they layer, a lot. I'm not too good at layering and still making it look decent, lol, so the sketches really help!!

I participated in the "Scraplift the person infront of you" Challenge on Scrapbook.com and lifted this lovely layout by Lauriep78.

My layout.. wanna know a secret about the photo? I took it, I wasn't really sleeping! hehe. My sister was in the hospital and couldn't sleep so she asked for a photo of us. Can you see on my forehead, in the middle, theres a heart?? I didn't edit the photo at all, weird, right?? I'm thinking maybe it was a shadow or something in my sisters house? But it would be darker, right? There goes that theory, lol.

Look how itsy bitsy the baby is!

I used Making Memories rub ons that I got at the scrapbooking garage sale a while ago.

A bunch of goodies in this one! Rub on stitches, hand drawn stitches, lots of yummy ribbon, a ribbon buckle and a die cut bracket sticker.

Make it Pretty!

Afternoon!!

I wanted to share a couple things with you today! First is how I store my bling/pearls. You know.. the ones that are on those little 2 x 2 1/2 sheets of acetate? I made this little booklet to store them in..

First I measured the sheets of acetate so I could get 2 sheets on each page, with a little extra room on the sides. I put very strong adhesive on the back of the acetate and stuck them on the cardstock.

I stamped on the front of my little booklet with Studio G(flowers), American Crafts (make it) and Technique Tuesday(pretty) stamps. I added some crackle accents on the flowers and added a stitched border with a gel pen.

I used a bunch of ribbon and fibers on the ring, to make it even more pretty! I used Heidi Swapp's divider labels to show which page has what.

It looked too plain just being stamped with black ink so I literally "made it pretty" with some stickles.

I have an old jewerly box that I got at a garage sale, this is the bottom drawer of it. The middle drawer is just divided into thirds and I will take a picture of the top "drawer" soon... it's just perfect for scrap supplies!!

As you can see, I use the bottom drawer for all my mini eyelets.

I think this just looks so yummy!

I also wanted to share this photo with you that I took the other night. There is this tree by our house that is HUMONGOUS! When I take my Grandma home after dinner, it's always just as the sun is setting and you can just see the silhouette of the tree, so this time I pulled over and took a picture!!

a late Saturday night...

..makes for 2 cute cards!!

Do you like my new watermark? I've always wanted to add one to my cards, and finally figured out how. On to challenges!!

For this card I used Laura's sketch on 2 Sketches 4 You #52. This is my first time playing along at this site. This is also for the May Card Challenge on Scrapbook.com for bonus, to make a card from a magazine photo.

I've been seeing flowers like this around the scrapbooking community lately and wanted to give one a try. I used a piece of fabic to make mine and love how it came out!

I used crackle accents, of course!

Another sketch... another card! This sketch is from Mojo Monday #139. Super cute sketch, right?
Here's my card..

Tigger!

I made this layout for the Scraplifting 101 Challenge and the May Lyric Challenge on Scrapbook.com. The Lyric Challenge is to use a Disney song on your layout and the Scraplifting Challenge, you can lift one of three layouts.

One word.... ELLEN!

Evening! Today my sister took me see The Ellen Degeneres Show!! Woohoo. Very exciting!!

First we went to Bob's Big Boy, ohhhh so good!

I wish I had more pictures, but we weren't allowed to take any inside, but we took one outside while we were waiting! Ok.. I copied this from my sisters facebook... it was taken by her phone, so I'm guessing why it's that small? Not sure! But there we are... 163 and 164.

My sister was standing in line for the tickets and they announced who was on the show.... STEVE CARELL! Are you kidding me?! I love him! And James Taylor! and some girl from Twilight... I'm not into the books/movies, so that one didn't excite me as much, lol.

It feels like I haven't been home since Friday! Oh wait, I really haven't been! My sister and brother-in-law went to Vegas for the weekend so we had the mini one. She is just so darn goofy! We had too much fun with her.. she would wake up from a nap and say "Can we go back to your house now?" lol. Luckily we live right around the block!!

I am hoping to make a tutorial tonight, but we'll see how much longer I'm awake =]

Newspaper Flowers Tutorial

Hi everybowy! hehe, everybowy... that's how the baby says everybody, it's the cutest! She always tells us "sing with me everybowy" lol.. we're guessing she gets that from Sesame Street. I don't think she knows theres any other shows on tv besides that one!

Anyway! It's such a nice day today! It's 77 and pretty much exactly like yesterday but not humid, so it's just perfect.. and here I am sitting inside on my laptop, lol. The little was is napping so Auntie is resting too =]

I made another video too! This one is a continuation from my first one where I made Newspaper Flowers. If you missed it, check it out here..

Mom's Mother's Day Card

Here's the continued one.. it's the card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day with the Newspaper Flowers from the video above.

Kissing Technique x 2

This last video is a tutorial on how to do the kissing technique for stamping. It also includes a technique I stumbled upon that kinda plays off the kissing technique.

Happy Birthday Lori

I made this card for my next door neighbor for her Birthday. I wanted to make her a girly card cause she lives with all boys!! A couple weeks ago we went to a Scrapbook Garage Sale and I got this huge Heidi Swapp package of goodies, which is what I mostly used on this card.

I used the sketch from Unscripted Sketches, #54, another 1st for me!

Pretty girly, don't ya think?

I used Core'dinations cardstock and embossed circles on it. If you've never used it, you must! It's at Joann's, and their the cardstock that are 5 for $1, so they're not more expensive or anything. The thing about this cardstock is there core is colored. On the back of this cardstock is grey, so when I embossed, then sanded it, the grey showed through.

They have a vintage collection, which is what the black cardstock is. They have a white wash collection, where the front is white, but when you sand/tear, it's the color of the back and there's the gemstone collection, which I used under the pink printed paper that says Happy Birthday. It has shimmer type look to it.

I then used Frosted Lace Stickles in some of the circles to add even more sparkle!

Craig's Birthday Card

Evening! Morning! All of the Above! =]

I'm waiting for pain meds to kick in, so I can get some sleep and instead of just laying here watching Home Improvement, I thought I'd share another card with you!

The couple that lives next door has the same Birthday! How cute is that? So Lori asked me to make a card for her husband. He's very much into biking, so she requested a biking card. I made Lori a card {from me} and will share that one soon!!

I must say, the first thing I did was panic, lol. Girly, I can do. Masculine cards/Layouts... not so much! Shh.. don't tell that to the little boys Mom that I'm making a scrapbook of his life for, LOL. But I'm trying.. it's new, so it's scary!!

I again, participated for the first time in another sketch challenge blog!! Yay! This one is called The Sweetet Thing and they have "Sweet Sketch Sundays"!

Here's the sketch for this week..

My Card

I printed the bicycle rider off the internet, free clipart can be so helpful!

Have you ever used the stamp technique of "kissing"? If not, or if you haven't heard of it, check it out here on Splitcoaststampers.com.

A couple weeks ago figured out a technique that is sort of like that. I'm planning on making another tutorial today to show you how I made the H and the B!!

I still have no clue what these little metal embellishments are called! They're the kind of things that are on picture frames so you can hang them on the wall... anyone know what they're called? I just think they're the cutest!!

Just Because

I wanted to post before I go to sleep because the challenge I used for my card ends today (Tuesday).. and I want to get it in on time!!

UPDATE: I missed the deadline... oops!!

This was my first time participating at ColourQ. It's a color challenge blog site. You all know how I love my challenge blogs!! =]

I used the "Friendship Garden" stamp set I bought a couple weeks ago, that I shared with you. Isn't that vase WAAYYY too cute!? I put crackle accents on the top of it, which I guess isn't good for a vase to be cracked.. lol, but I like it.

The flower is from K&Co.'s Poppyseed line. I love the colors of that line!

Night Night! I have a card to share with you tomorrow as well, but I need to go to sleep now, cause I get to watch the little one tomorrow.. yay.

Mother's Day & my 1st youtube video!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there!!

I wanted to share all the Mother's Day cards I made for my family.

This odd shaped card was for my Mom from me, my sister, my brother-in-law and the baby. It was bigger than usual because we got her a gift certificate and it was big!!

I used the sketch on Our Creative Corner's challenge blog, #14.

Here's the sketch...

Here's my card...

I made these cute little flowers! I also made my first video tutorial for youtube on how to make these flowers.

Check it out, I'm very excited about it!! Let me know what you think about it, cause I would love to make some more tutorials!! If anyone has any suggestions of what you want to see, or are confused about how to make something, leave me a comment and let me know and I'll be glad to make a tutorial!! I already have my next one in mind.

This one was for my sister, from the baby and I. I stamped the little ones hand on cardstock, which she got a kick out of and cut it out by hand.
This is also for Just Us Girls #32, to make a pocket card.

This was the inside.. and the baby "signed" it by coloring all over it!

This was for my Mom from Klayre.

My Mom taught the baby to say "I love you a bazillion", but since she can't say her L's yet, she says "I ove you a bazi-in". She also colored on the inside of this one too.

Do you ever make a project and are not too sure how it's going to end up when you start it, but then when it's finished you can't believe you actually made it? lol. That's pretty much how I felt about this card.

This is for The Sweet Shop's Sketch Challenge Blog #55. Here's the sketch...

On Friday night my Dad asked me to make him a card for Mom. Dad always goes to the store and picks out his own cards for each of us. Then writes in it, better than Hallmark ever could, and usually makes us cry, but happy tears!!

He said he wanted something with a basket on it. My Mom collects Longaberger Baskets, so I didn't have to look far for inspiration!!

I just love how the basket turned out!

I showed you all this one a while back.. it was for my Grandma, she also got a Klayre hand print inside her card!!
