Happy Mother's Day Aunt Marlo

I lifted this card from Christine Collin's - Baby makes 3 card. I really adore how this card turned out!

I used Fancy Pants Wishful Thinking line, the paper is called Darling.. I simply put the frame around which part I wanted on the paper, but didn't press down. I lightly traced on the outside and on the inside of the frame. I then removed the frame and cut in between those two lines and that's it!

I used Glossy Accents on the flowers and some Shabby Shutters Distressed Stickles on the leaf. I wrapped it up (literally and figuratively) with some Grape Fizz Trendy Twine.

Mother's Day 4 Day Extravaganza!

I've had a bunch of orders for Mother's Day cards, yay! So, for the next 4 days, I will be sharing all that I've made. Infact, chances are it will pour over into next week as well!

These are all for the May Card Challenge for Theme, which is Mother's Day or Father's Day.

I lifted a Birthday card I made a while back for this one.. Her aunt loves bows, so I thought this would be perfect!

I used House of 3 and Crate Paper for this card.

Making Memories Tiny Type alphabet stickers.

One BIG bow!

For this card, I used Clean & Simple #189. I recently purchased 6 packs of Basic Grey's Bloomers for super cheap on ScrapbookSteals.com. They have a deal a day!

Wednesday Rewind #3!

Welcome to the 3rd Wednesday Rewind!

Every Wednesday I will post a card that I made from a couple months ago up to a couple years and I will lift the card.

How do you play?

Lift the card also! You can turn it, add to it, take away from it, as long as I can still see the original sketch in your card!

Leave a comment with the link to your card when you're finished!
This is going to be a weekly challenge. Come back every Wednesday for a new card to lift!

There will be a small prize given every 2 weeks.
The winner will be picked from Random.org.
There WILL be a prize this week.
Have your card posted by Wednesday, May 9th at noon, PST to be in the drawing for the prize.

Please use the keyword: MFDWR3

Here we go!

I made this Mother's Day card in 2009.

Here is my new one... quite a difference, don't you think?

This card is also for the May Card Challenge for Theme, which is Mother's Day or Father's Day & for technique, which is to make a pocket card.

It's also for The Paper Variety's "April Showers Bring...", which is to create a handmade flower on your card.

Happy Mother's Day

I absolutely love how this card turned out! I sewed it all by myself too.. I just started using a "grown up" sewing machine. It works much better than the paper crafting ones!!

I used 5 different collections on this card and they all worked SO well together!

I used..
  • Pink Paislee - House of Three - Daily Junque Collection
  • Advantus - The Girls Paperie - Paper Girl Collection
  • Crate Paper - Paper Hearts
  • Crate Paper - Restoration
  • Sassafras - Indie Girl

I didn't adhere the hearts other than the stitching. I did however adhere about 1/4 of an inch between each heart so they wouldn't slide while I was stitching them.
