Teacher Card {& some scrap goodies!}

This card is for the Color category for the August Card Challenge on scrapbook.com. It was to use Red, Green, Blue and Yellow on a card. All the detail pictures I took were blurry! I only found that up once I uploaded them tonight.. oh well!!

A couple days ago, I bought a grab bag of 4 packs of Thickers. I bought it on Peachy Cheap. If you haven't checked out their site yet, you must!! They sell discounted scrapbook supplies. They have a different one each day. Even though this was a grab bag, I couldn't have picked out better ones myself!!

At our local scrapbook store, Scrapbook Blessings, they had a scrap yard sale today. You could buy a spot and sell your supplies that you no longer wanted. So, I got a bunch of goodies.
I got a 1 3/4 circle punch, but I had already put it away, oops!

First, I got Basic Grey's Mistletoe Stack. I also got Oh Baby! Boy for a scrapbook I'm doing for a family friend.

These hearts are made from chipboard and are 9+ inches.. they were huge!

Here's the embellishments I bought.

A few pearl pins, a metal key and a metal Thanks embellie.

Mini bottle caps with numbers on them.

This was put together as a mini scrapbook kit.

To the right, to the right

This photo is of the little one when she was itty bitty! Only 2 days old!

I love these 7 Gypsies Journaling Tags.

Journaling:

What? Whenever you'd sleep, your little head would always slant to the right.

Where? In your swing, in your crib or in someone's arms.

Who? Klayre Isabella - 2 days old

Nitty Gritty Details? We would put a blankie under your chin, on your shoulder so your neck wouldn't be sore!!

Date: 11.12.2007 @ naptime

Location: I used their address, which is why its blacked out.. or whited out in this case!

For the title, I used a song by Sugarland that says "To the left, to the left"... just changed directions!

I will for sure be making some more shapes like this! I just cut thin strips of a patterned paper and made it into a heart and inked the edges... easy peasy!

This cute litte circle clip was just silver when I started. I put a chipboard letter circle in it and filled it twice with Sepia Accents.

You're the Best

Check out this HUGE giveaway!!

These type of stamped images are cute on others cards, but it's just not my style, but I do like how "she" came out! I received this image in the same Image Swap as the little chick on my Fancy Chick card.

I colored her with colored pencils and put Sepia Accents every where on her except her skin and tights. I added extra sparkle with stickles on her flower and her shoes. I also added a little gem in the center of the flower.

I used Sweet Sunday Sketch #81 for this card.

One fancy Chick

A couple months back, ok, could have been last year, I particpated in a stamped image swap on Scrapbook.com. In that swap I got this cute little chick with a bow and a purse, so I put them all together.

I got the button/ribbon idea from Stampin' Ups Holiday Stamp Magazine I just got in the mail the other day.

I used Yellow Stickles for the little chick and Orange for the beak. I used Sepia Accents on the bow and purse and used mini brads for the eyes and wire for the feet.

I made this sympathy card for a friend and her husband. You can see in the pictures below what this one doesn't show.

Merry & Bright

I made this card for a giveaway on The Paper Variety. You can check out the details right there!

I'll be the first to admit it, this card is a bit busy, especially with the background paper I used! But, I really like how it came out!!

I used mostly My Minds Eye Be Merry Collection, with some Heidi Swapp and Making Memories mixed in there!!

I made this cute bow (not the one on the card, that was the 2nd one!) that has 3 loops and is tied in a bow that took way too long too make. When I was done I realized it was WAY too big for the card, lol. It would fit on the card, just never in an envelope! Oh well. Now, the little one will have a new hair clip =]

Cupcake Tester

I used sketch #137 from Sketch Inspiration. I kinda gasped when I saw this sketch, lol. I just love it!

Journaling: You came ovver to Ga & Papa's House to make some cupcakes. Papa held you as you watched Ga mix up the batter. You helped Papa place the cupcake papers in the tins too. After he poured the batter, you kept dipping your fingers in to get a taste! You even licked the spoon! You had a cupcake tin filled with 6 different decorations that you picked out all by yourself. You'd sprinkle some decorations on the cupcake and your fingers would get frosting on them, so you'd lick it off. Then you'd dunk your fingers back into the decorations and they'd get stuck again. Lick. Dunk. Repeat. You enjoyed licking the frosting off of 2 cupcakes, but weren't really interested in eating the cake part! 8.14.2010

GIVEAWAY!

I'm giving away one of my cards.. which one you ask? Well, which one do you want?

Check out my Etsy Shop at http://www.alltarynne.blogspot.com/ and simply leave me a comment here and let me know which is your favorite.

On Wednesday I will randomly pick a winner. It's that simple!

And to make you smile.... she's looking at that cupcake so adoringly, isn't she? She pretty much just licked the frosting off two cupcakes but didn't want anything to do with the cake part! Smart girl.

All kinds of KISSES

I just love these photos!! They're of my sister and my niece at Bob's Big Boy.

Klayre was showing all the different ways she kisses.

I printed on K & Co.'s Tag Chipboard. I wasn't sure if it was going to work and go through the printer but it did! I used the font 1942 report on fonts101.com.

Under each picture, you can pull out the tab and there is hidden journaling.

I got this fabulous idea for the flowers from PattiM on scrapbook.com, click on her name to see her cute cute card with the flowers!

For these super cute flowers, you run a stitch along the side of the ribbon and scrunch it. I'm sure there's technical terms for that, but since I don't know them, I'm sticking with "scrunch it"!

I wasn't sure how this one would turn out since it was so dark, but it looks really cool!

Just buzzin' by to say...

I must say.. I love this one! I used sketch #151 on Mojo Monday for this card.

I also used the colors from ColourQ #45.

I got that cute arrowed embossed green paper for 10 cents at Joanns.. woohoo!

Can you see how much the glitter is off? I'm guessing the manufacturer uses some kind of stamp or sorts? Just thought it was odd that the glitter wasn't even close to where it should be =]

Gotta love Bakers Twine!! I got Red, this teal and brown at the Etsy Renegade Craft Fair a couple weeks ago. I didn't want to buy a TON, so I thought that was a perfect place to buy it. Now.. I want a ton!! I've been saving that button for a rainy day too!

These weren't really supposed to be there... but I couldn't find my bone folder, (don't worry, I found it under stuff on my desk) so I used a popsicle stick that must have had marker or something on it and it made a mark! So I covered it up!!

Whatta Mess

I used sketch #53 on Inspired Blueprints. I was excited to finally get to use these pictures, I've wanted to for a while!!

It's also for the August Baby Challenge on Scrapbook.com.

Journaling: You had so much fun learning to feed yourself! Yes, it got messy, but it was so cute to watch. On this day, TT let you feed yourself while eating Spaghetti. Silly TT! It looks like you got more on your bib and tray than in your mouth! Now, at 2 1/2, you can even feed yourself with your eyes closed, or "sleeping" as you call it! That takes talent! April 9th, 2009

A Curly Girly Mohawk

I blacked out the little one's body since there are a lot of sickos out there! But I couldn't imagine now sharing this layout with you!!

I used the sketch from 8.5 on Sketchy Thursdays for this layout.

Journaling: You've always love taking baths and even showers with Mommy too! You have all kids of toys that keep you busy while you're getting clean! You even have crayons, where you get to write all over the bathtub. TT has given you a bath many times, but we've never had as much fun as we did on this day! When I was washing your hair, I decided to give you a Mohawk. But, since your hair is super curly, it turned into a big curl on top of your noggin! 2.17.09

I tied ribbon around Popsicle sticks to make my own kind of embellishment.
