If I had my life to live over again..

I'm back from a long blog break. Did you like how it sounds like I planned it? Life got in the way of blog posts! Life getting in the way of the fun stuff, don't you just hate that?!

Then a week or so ago, the one and only Susan Opel invited me to join a facebook group to play along with the challenges on My Favorite Things blog. And if she invites you, you play! Period. {SHE'S PRETTY DARN AWESOME YA KNOW..}

The boyfriend and my 4th Anniversary was on January 8th, so I made this one for him. Here's a picture of us at California Adventure on the 9th celebrating.

LOVE THIS BOY SO MUCH!

And here's my card! I love this quote and have been saving it for the perfect occasion!

The heart paper is I love you this much by Carta Bella from their Devoted collection.
The grid paper is Daily Stories collection by Teresa Collins.
The "true story" stamp is from Elle's Studio & the cork arrow is from Studio Calico. Last but not least, the cut chipboard heart is from Pink Paislee.

December Daily 2013

It's true, I caved!

Not only is this my first year doing Project Life (which I've been terrible at sharing on my blog) but I'm adding my first December Daily to the mix too. I wasn't planning on doing a December Daily Album but I kept seeing everyones covers on Instagram and I couldn't help myself!

But, I will not be doing December Daily! It's true! I made this album for my 6 year old niece, so she can record her traditions and add things she wants to add to it. I already talked to her before I made it and she was excited about it. I asked her if she wanted to make an album like my Project Life one but all about Christmas and she gave an enthusiastic "sure!"

Instead of buying all new Christmas materials for it, I just went around my room and collected everything I wanted to use. I knew the colors I wanted were red, white and brown, maybe a little green too.

I took out 12x12 papers, went though all my 6x6 stacks and, got some ribbons and some tags from Elle's Studio and Chic Tags! If you haven't checked out Elle's Studio or Chic Tags, do yourself a favor and do it!

And here it is... My 1st December Daily Album cover! I LOVE how it came out!!

For the base of the cover, I used Authentique's Peaceful collection and the paper is called "Chill". The woodgrain is from KI Memories called Forrest Bonfire. I cut the cute vintage looking Santa out of a We R Memory Keepers paper called "Ho Ho Ho" from their Merry & Bright collection. And the fun red text paper is from Crate Paper's "Peppermint" collection.

I used Studio Calico wood veneers in "Magical Thought Bubbles" and the alphabet in "Darling Dear".

The glittery thickers are Delight. And the super cute Christmas Tag is from Chic Tags!

I only have the cover done so far but will start putting together the inside this week! I'll post it when I do!

Goodbye, Miss Moxie Fab!

Welcome!! Hopefully, you came here from Annette's blog, which you can find HERE.

It's true. No more Moxie Fab World from the one and only Cath. I remember when I read her blog post {check it out HERE if you haven't read it yet} and said "noooo!" out loud. I've always enjoyed reading Cath's blog. I've only participated in a few of the challenges, although I always have good intentions to! There were many I did and then didn't get to post them in time.

The Moxie Fab World was always a burst of fresh air. Whether it be a cute picture, an inspirational quote, a trendy item or a new Moxie Fabber of the Week, it was always a pleasure to read.

I had the privilege of meeting Cath at Winter 2013 CHA. {Yeah.. I still can't believe it either.} I got to go just out of plain luck and was thrilled to meet the whole Paper Crafts team. I had won World Card Making Day a couple months before so that made it even more special. I saw Cath, Susan Opel & Jennifer Schaerer when I was getting my ticket and was too nervous to say Hello! They're like celebrities of the Paper Crafting world! When I finally did meet them, Susan introduced me to everyone and she asked if I would like to meet Cath. I believe my response was "uh huh!". So I was introduced and she asked my last name and when I told her she said "Oh yeah, I know who are you". GULP. I said "You do!?"

 Here we are!

I didn't have time to make a card this week, but I picked one of my favorite Thank You's I've ever made. And, it just happened to be from a Moxie Fab World Challenge called "Hooked on Hexagons".

I wanted to say a special thank you to you Cath, for all these years of inspiring all of us. You will truly be missed!

Next up is Amy! Check out her blog, HERE.

World Card Making Day 2012 Winner Blog Hop!!

Welcome to My Wise Designs!

The good news? You made it to the end! The bad news? You made it to the end

If you're following the Blog Hop list, you should have come from the blog of Stasia Sloma.

Designers in this Blog Hop...

I want to take you back a year to last World Card Making Day. I only get to see my boyfriend on the weekends and I decided to stay home so I could participate! That day in the mail, I just happened to get the washi tape and the stamp that I used on my card. Fast forward a month when acceptance e-mail went out. We had just got back from a cruise and I checked my e-mails and didn't see anything. In the next couple hours, I kept receiving 40+ more e-mails at a time. I was sitting, waiting for the boyfriend to get out of the bathroom when I saw it... I freaked out! It was just as exciting as I always dreamed it would be!

This was not only my first World Card Making Day, but it was my first time being published as well!

I of course framed my card, the issue and the letter from Paper Crafts Magazine!

Here's my card, up close!

Don't forget to enter the World Card Making Day contest! Remember, you can't win unless you enter! It is a nerve wracking thing to submit a card, but.. do it anyway! Don't be afraid that it's not good enough or people won't like it. As submitters, we don't know exactly what they're looking for! My advice for helping your card to be picked is look at the trends right now. Whether it be scrapbooking trends, or patterns in fashion, you card needs to have something that stands out! Think outside of the box. Don't do something you've seen. Make a card that you yourself would want to receive! And as always, don't forget, have fun with it!

Check out the rules and the HUGE prize package, World Card Making Day 2013!

Who's ready for a card?!

Like last years card, I used lots of patterns. I knew the sentiment I wanted to use and then found this INCREDIBLY cute camera paper by Bella Blvd. in their "Snapshots" Collection, called My Point of View.

Is that paper not to die for?

The chevron paper is also from Bella Blvd. and it's called Daily Chevies. They have them in all colors too! The pink polka dot is from My Mind's Eye and it's from the collection "Kate & Co.". The cute vertical strips are Fancy Pants' "Memories Captured" line and the paper is called My Camera.

The note tag is from Elle's Studio. If you haven't seen their products, go check them out! This tag is from their "Chic Note Tags".

The sentiment is 2 separate stamps. The smile is from an old Fiskars set and the "It's your Birthday" is from our prize last year from Lil' Inker Designs.

I stitched every paper together with a zig zag stitch and then stitched around the sides!

Don't forget to check back in with Paper Crafts Connection, they're having a giveaway! GO GO GO!

The Future Mrs. Shaver

I received an order for a Bridal Shower card where she wanted neutral colors and wanted it to be floral. This is what I came up with! I love how it turned out!

I used Studio Calico's "Classic Calico" for the majority of this card.

The letters are Basic Grey's Mico Mono Alphas. They're great for Project Life!!

How great is this flower? I used my Silhouette Cameo and bought the 3D flower in the Silhouette Studio online store by Lori Whitlock. There are actually 6 layers to this flower. Every other layer is vellum.

I added some 1/2 pearls from Queen & Company to finish it off.

Project Life: Week 12 & Week 13 - March 19-25 & March 26-April 1

Don't you love when I disappear for months at a time? Me either! Let's get back to Project Life!

I got a Silhouette Cameo for my Birthday and it is an amazing machine. If you're on the fence about it or don't know which is better, Cricut or Silhouette, let me say this.. I have both and although I love my Cricut you can do a TON more on the Silhouette!

Here's Week 12! Not much happened this week, so I only made one page for it.

Here's Week 13!

I promise to be back sooner than later this time!

Project Life: Week 11 - March 12-18

We're on Week 23 of Project Life already! I am still working on the middle of Week 20 though! Since I got so busy, I didn't have time to keep up with it. I did however get a chance to plan it out [click HERE to find out how I plan my weeks!]. I printed all my photos and wrote down all my journaling, it was just the putting it all together part that wasn't done.. so I'm in catch up mode now!

Here's my Week 11! Lots of Miss Pudge on this page! Don't you love that camera paper? It's by Echo Park! As always, love Simple Stories and Elle's Studio's Labels [If you haven't seen her stuff, you owe it to yourself to go check it out! click HERE to do so].

The second half of the week was Klarye & I having a date! I then went to Joey's and had some delicious Reese's Cheesecake at a restaurant called Corky's. We ended the week with celebrating my boyfriend's niece's 18th Birthday! I also saw the issue of Paper Crafts Magazine that I was in at my favorite grocery store, Winco!

Here's my favorite card from this week. Klayre & I went to Target and she was playing a game on my phone.. and taking pictures, which I didn't know until later when I looked at my pictures!! Silly girl.
