a couple cards to share!

This was my first card I made with my new Pixie Sewing Machine!

And this was my 2nd, lol. I got an order from a family friend for a 50th Birthday Card. I lifted HapEMomE on scrapbook.com. Her card is called "Faith, Hope, Love" which you can see here.. http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/230267/view/2493979/-1.html

Don't tell me that!

Before I share my layout, I wanted to share some cards I made for Operation Write Home. Operation Write Home is an organization that collects handmade cards for the troops. You can either make a card for a soldier, thanking them for all that they do, or you can make a card for them to send home to a loved one. Pretty great idea, don't ya think?

I've decided that for every card I made, I'll also make one for OWH.

This time I went crazy and made 8! I have to get head start, lol. I lifted Kristina Werner's card here.

On to the layout!! I lifted one of my favorite artists on scrapbook.com, KariAnn. This is a lift of her layout called "A truly rare moment".

I also did something that I've never done on a layout or card.... sewed with a machine! whhhhat. I've had my eye on the "Pixie" by Singer for a while now. It was at Joann's for $124. So I've been waiting for it to be on sale! Well, I found it at Big Lots for $30... and even better was when I went back today it was on sale for $25! Not too shabby... especially brought down from $124, lol.

I don't know if you can see it or not, but on her left eye, there is a bubble right infront of it. I had to use this photo though.. doesn't it look like shes posing for it?

Journaling:
Klayre: "TT, why is the sun out?"
TT: "Because it's the day time"
{The moon happened to already be out as well}
Klayre: "Why is the moon out?"
TT: "Cause it's almost night time"
Klayre: "Don't tell me that!"

Man that kid is funny!!

Remember the days of "Oh my God, you're going to cut a photo?" Since you get more than just doubles these days, and memory cards are more the norm now, it's not as scary! I used Signo's white gel pen to write on the photo, it was possible, but since it was such a slick surface, you had to go over a lot of it twice.

This is a picture of goodies! You can see my stitching.. yay! I'm so excited about it you have no idea!

The bottom button is from my "cute button stash". What? Doesn't everyone have one?

Father's Day Part 2!

I didn't want to post my Brother-In-Law's Father's Day cards just incase he'd see them on here or facebook, so I'm posing them now that he's already opened them.

This is from my Grandma.

This one was from me. I've wanted to make a nintendo controller for a while, so I thought this was the perfect occasion! I love how it came out! I'd make shorten the card next time cause it's a bit too tall.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Dad & Branden!! Ok, so neither one of them read my blog, but I can still wish them a happy day, right? =]

I still have one more card to make for my Brother-In-Law, I've got the idea.. just have to make it!

I wanted to share all the Father's Day Cards I made recently.

The next 2 cards were made for my neighbor, for the Dad's in her life.

I made a slider card, they're so fun to make! If you haven't tried one yet, you must! I used this video on youtube, which I've used before to make this card. It's by Jennifer McGuire with HeroArts.. Stamped Slider Card

You pull the ribbon on the side and this is what it looks like open.

I have an over abundance of Heidi Swapp's Ghost Letters, I've stapled them, painted them, but I thought this time I wanted to leave them alone and tie them together with some thread.

This card is for our neighbors Dad. He is quite a character, so I thought this quote was perfect!

Quote: "Where do Fathers learn all the things they tell their daughters not to do?"

For this card I used youtube again.. this was a video by Dawn, I love her videos! She's so upbeat and cheery and her inscructions couldn't be better! She even gives you all the measurements, which helps oh so much! Dawn's Pop Up Card.

This card is to my Dad from me. I've seen these cards around the scrapbook sites so I thought I'd give it a shot! I again used a youtube video for this one but it was super hard to follow, so I didn't even save it. This was a fun one to make!

This card is for my Grandma to give to my Dad. You guessed it.. another youtube video was used!! This video was hard to follow and no measurements were given, so it made it kind of difficult, but I just went by the pictures. You can see how to make the Two Way Silder Card here.

When you pull the little blue tab, the message appears! Too cute, huh?
{Thanks Tay for the great nail polish!!}

I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye Embossing Powder for the A. However, I didn't use my embossing gun. I used a paint brush to put a thin layer of Glossy Accents then poured the powder over it. I did this one more time and that powder didn't move one bit.

This is another pop up card for my Grandma to give to my Brother-In-Law. It's another Pop Up Card.

I've wanted to use the negative part of a die cut for a while! I love how it looks!

Last post @ 24!!

This is my last post at 24!! In 28 minutes I'll be 25! whhhhaat?! I can't believe it myself.

I played along with one of my most favoirte card blog challenges, Mojo Monday. I just love their sketches! AND I made it on the challenge was released! I've never done that!!

Here's the sketch..

Here's my card..

It's for my Uncle from my Grandma for Father's Day

I've had this flower in mind for a while now. It's actually a bunch of hearts put together in a circle. I used the cricut and the George and Basic Shapes Cartridge to cut the hearts. The bottom layer are 1 1/4 inch and the top at 1 inch. I inked them and put them into a circle to make my flower. The I curled the ends of the flowers. If you try this, I would love to see it!!

I handstitched the stem and leaf.

Cards Galore!

I hope you're all having a great weekend! We started it off by celebrating my Dad's Birthday yesterday. And today. We ran out of time last night to have dessert!!

I made this card from my Grandma to my Dad. My Dad is into fly fishing, so this is the card I made him.

The outside says "You've already caught your greatest catch.."

The inside says "...my daughter! I hope you catch a very Happy Birthday too!"

I used the sketch #54 on 2 Sketches 4 You this week.
I used Core'dinations paper for the background and instead of matting the printed paper, I made score lines with my paper trimmer, then sanded it.

I used ColourQ's #36 challenge. Here's the fabulous colors..

This card was from me to my Dad.

This card isn't for any challenges.. I know, hard to believe, but it's not!!

It is however a lift. =] I lifted Lweber1234's "I heart U" which you can see here.

I used K & Co.'s Poppyseed line for this card.

I added some distress stickles to the butterfly.. the green doesn't look as bad as it does in the photo! lol. The photo totally changed the shade!

My next door neighbor ordered 3 Father's Day cards.. this is one of them. I used the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers to make a Shaker Card. You can find the tutorial here.

I used beads, sequins and glitter.

Get Well Card

This was the sketch at Mojo Monday this week..

My Card...

Cusffy

I finally made a layout about our new dog.. we've had him 6 months, I figured it was time!!

Doesn't he look like a little old man in this photo?

This is for the June Pet Challenge on Scrapbook.com

I also lifted Delaina Burns's "Varsity", which you can see here

Journaling: I was placed up for adoption after my doggie "brothers and sisters" turned on me one day. Even though my owner didn't want to give me up, she knew it was best for me. I met my new owner on Christmas Eve, the day she rescued me. I had seen her here before looking for a dog to take home. I remember her pointing at me and saying "Look how cute that one is!" But let's face it, I heard that a lot! Two weeks after I was put up for adoption, I finally got to go home. I was so excited to get to spend Christmas with a family. As we rode home, I snuggled up to my new Mommy, I loved her already! When we got to my new house, I met the whole family. I love all of them! My new cousin Klayre, can't pronounce my name, so she calls me Cusffy. It's caught on and now I only get called Scruffy when I'm in trouble. Come to think of it, I get called Scruffy a lot...

It took a while to make it perfectly in a circle, but I really like how it turned out.

I think this sticker is true for all of us that have dogs!

I got these K & Company stickers at Joann's in pink, brown and blue, on sale of course!

365 Days

I made this layout for the "June Baby Challenge".. my 3rd layout, I'm on a roll!!

It's for the mini challenge to use a collage of 6 photos or more.

The photo in the middle was taken 36 minutes after my niece was born and all the others are in order by month. All these pictures were taken with my crappy cell phone camera, but they didn't turn out too shabby!! Could have been worse!

A while back I bought a bunch of different colored raffle tickets on etsy. In a post a couple weeks ago I said I had an idea on how to use them, well this wasn't it, lol.

I used Autumn Leaves Rub-Ons to add the month to each ticket.
