I made this card for my cousin Kati, for her 23rd Birthday. 

I used Elle's Studio's Vintage Mix & Match Numbers and Dear Lizzy's Merry Foam Thickers for her name.

I added this cute polka dot flower from Basic Grey's Hopscotch Bloomers!

Thanks for all that you do!

I love this card so much I'm thinking about doing something nice for someone and giving them the card to give to me. lol, jk jk. But, I do LOVE this one!

This is for City Crafter Challenge Blog - Week #118 - "I've been hexed!"

This card is also for the July Card Challenge for Color.

We all know how trendy hexagons are right now! I recently enter another challenge on Moxie Fab World, for another hexagon challenge, which you can see HERE.

I am entering this one in the Moxie Fab World: Hooked on Hexagon Challenge also.. make sure to go check out the challenge.. it ends on July 30th!

For the hexagons on this card, I used Cricut's "Accent Essentials" cartridge. 

I used some Basic Grey, Echo Park & Crate Paper for this card.

 

This part was time consuming, but not too bad! I absolutely love how it turned out too. I used grey because I wanted to be able to see the stitching, but I didn't want it to take away from the papers I used or the sentiment.

Oddly enough, the thickers I used (and I didn't know it until I just looked right now) are called Patchwork! I guess it was meant to be! I printed the rest of the sentiment on Core'dinations cardstock.

It of course wouldn't be complete without some Trendy Twine! I used the color "Sky".

This hexagon flower was a very happy accident! I forgot to press the shift button on my Cricut and it cut the wrong die cut. I thought why not turn every layer so it turns out like a flower? So, I did! Cute, huh!

A Sonic Birthday!

Don't worry.. I'm still alive! Sorry for the week of no posts!

I made a Sonic card and Sonic wallet for a friend's son. I absolutely LOVE how this card came out! I can't draw at all, so here's what I did... I Googled Sonic and when I printed out the imagine I liked. I then cut it apart and traced the shapes on the colors I wanted to use. If I hadn't done that, it would look nothing like this! lol. For the blue, I used Core'dinations and on the raised piece, I sanded the edges so the core color shows!

If you've never used Core'dinations, here what it is... It's color cardstock that has another color in the core of the paper. So, if you tear the paper or sand the paper, it will show the core color. The core color is on the back so you know what the color is. They sell this at Joann's.

I also made a Sonic Comic Book wallet for him as well.

Cricut Mat

Does your cricut mat look like mine? I'm sure yours looks better than mine does.. mine is HORRIBLE! But, I brought it back to life with ScraPerfect's "Best Glue Ever". I haven't used the glue for anything else but to make my cricut mat sticky again, but I'm sure with that name, it works on other things too!! You're supposed to clean off your mat before you use it, but I don't. Gotta be a rebel sometime =]

I use an old gift card and spread the glue around on the mat. You let it dry for a couple of hours and it will be even more sticky than when you buy them.

Oh Baby!

 I made this card for a friend to give as a Baby Shower card.

I lifted Debbiedesigns "Welcome Baby Boy" card on Scrapbook.com. This baby boy card was one of the first cards I put into my favorites when I joined Scrapbook.com back in 2007.

I absolutely love how this card came out!

I used a baby foot print stamp by All Night Media.

The "Oh Baby!" is from Technique Tuesday's "Small Talk".

I didn't have an oval as long as I wanted one, so what I did was cut it in half. It looks longer and no one is wiser!

Had to finish it up with some stitching!!

Sew what!

 I bought 2 cigar boxes at a garage sale last year which I knew I wanted to alter at some time.. and the time has come!! Well, for one of them anyway.

As you've probably noticed, I've started sewing on my cards. When I used to sew on them, I'd do it by hand cause I didn't know how to sew. My sisters sewing machine was at our house and my Mom showed me how. Now I understand why she made so much fun of me when I'd do it by hand, lol, it's so easy! In this cigar box, I keep all my spools and bobbins. 

I made this for Hooked on Hexagons Challenge in the Moxie Fab World where you create a project using the super trendy, hexagon.

I also made this for the July Challenge on Scrap It Girl called "Good Things come in a small package".
 

For the front of it, I used black Duct Tape, which I laid down on my craft mat and used a T-Ruler and an Exacto knife to get as straight as can be!

 I cut the Duct Tape hexagons on the Cricut. I used the Accent Essentials cartridge.. If you don't have that one or have never seen it, you must look it up and see all the wonderful shapes it has, it has a TON!

I created stitches on the hexagons with a white Singo pen. I used American Crafts Thickers that are called Typo! I used Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint on top of the Thickers, but as you can see on the E, some peeled off. I repainted it where it came over and put a coat of Glossy Accents on the top. I think it only chipped like that because the surface of the letters were shiny.

 The ruler and the dress form are from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl. I topped it off with a cute little heart!

This is the inside! I can't get anymore colors cause they wouldn't fit! =]

I also used a scrap piece of card stock to stitch all the stitches on "my" sewing machine. It's a lot easier for me to see them than trying to remember the difference in 2, 3, 4 &5!! The white shows up better in person also.

Love you to the moon & back

I made this card for Clean & Simple sketch #197.

I created this cute little rocket with Sandylion's Clear Boy Stamps. I layered it so soars off the page, pun intended!

I created my own fire with different color and textures of ribbon and added some white stitching to it.

How cute is this font? It has quite a cute name too.. Spicy Sushi Roll! Great, now I want Sushi!

I used October Afternoon's Thrift Shop Stack for this card. I also used American Crafts remarks for those cute little hearts.

(Made Fresh Daily Wednesday Rewind #8)

I made this card in May of this year.

Orders!

I needed something where I could physically see what orders needed to be finished. I used a 12x12 piece of cork board that I got at Staples, years ago. It came in a 4 pack, one is on my bedroom door and 2 I don't use.

For the board, all I really did was glued some Thickers on to it. I glued them instead of just sticking them on because I wasn't sure how well they'd hold up on cork over time.

Next came the push pins! I knew I wanted to make them, so I used over sized brads for 5 of them and fabric covered brads for the other 2.

The number Rub-Ons are from Daisy D and the cute little bird is from K & Company.

I bought push pins at Dollar Tree, I need 7 but I got 300 for $1. lol, close enough!

After I used the Rub-Ons, I flattened the push pins with pliers to get it as flat as possible. I put a generous amount of Glossy Accents on the top of the push pin and turned it upside down onto the bottom of the brad. I then filled the back of the brad up as much as possible with Glossy Accents. After they dried (a couple hours of drying time), I pushed them in the cork board and put Glossy accents on the tops and sides so the Rub-Ons would be sealed it and it would nice and shiny.

I did the same thing with the yellow and white pokla dot brads. I used wire cutters to cut the brad part off. I topped them with Glossy Accents also.

I have been a very busy bee this week! I wanted to finish all my cards for the June Card Challenge that I host on Scrapbook.com. I also wanted to submit projects to Scrapbook News & Review so I mixed and matched the challenges up!!

All of the following cards are for SNR's July Call.

The first card up is for the June Card Challenge for Photo Inspiration. This is the photo we needed to get inspiration from this month. I took it on Main St. at Disneyland last month.

One punch, a bunch of pattern paper, a cute cupcake embellishment and a button and ta da! =]

I used American Crafts Remarks, Sweet Tooth. I added Glossy Accents to the cupcake stand and the vanilla frosting. I added Copper Stickles to the chocolate frosting too.

 

 

 

 This card is for the June Card Challenge for the Lift Category.

I used Pebbles Inc. felt layered embellishments but had to cut the last layer off cause they're super thick!! For the sentiment, I used October Afternoon's Mini Market Alphabet stickers.

I can't believe my niece is going to be a year old in a week and a half! It went by so very quickly!

She's such a ham!! Look at her little arm.. that was all her, lol.

Last night I had the idea to see if the Cricut would cut duct tape... to my surprise, it DOES!

I used the Accent Essentials Cartridge for these super cute embellishments.

 This is the card I made her for her 1st Birthday. It's for the June Card Challenge for Bonus, which was to use duct tape on your card.

I used the circle above to make a pattern on the background of the card.

I used instructions by Beate Johns on Splitcoaststmper's for this Easel Card, which you can find, HERE.

I kind of mixed and matched. There's instructions for a circle card and a square one, but I of course had to be different and mix them! I really like how it came out!

The card all collapses into itself too!

I used October Afternoon's Mini Marketplace Alphabet stickers for the sentiment and stuck a Sunrise Thicker in there too! I coated it with Frosted Lace Stickles. That cute giraffe is from Alphabet soup from My Mind's Eye.

Last but not least is this encouraging/uplifting card. I used the sketch for SNR's sketch call this month. It's also for the June Card Challenge for Technique which is Pleated Paper, which you can find, HERE.

I did the technique on the yellow polka dot paper which I just noticed you can barely see!

Again, I used Pebbles Inc.'s felted layered embellishments and had to cut the bottom layer off. 

I absolutely love this sentiment.. to me, it's hilarious! I hope you find it funny too!

"If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. If life gives you ham, don't make lemonade." Isn't that a fun sentiment for an encouragement card? It would sure make me smile!

Happy 20th Anniversary!

I made this card for the girl that cuts my hair, Andrea. I trade her a hair cut for cards.. works out nicely for both of us!! I used to get my hair cut then pay her and she'd pay me more than half of what I gave her for cards she wanted, lol... it's just easier this way!!

This is for her and her husband's 20th Anniversary. If you've been reading my blog long, you know I don't make boy cards well. It's not that I even make super girly cards or anything, but it's easier to make a girl card for me!!

Anyway! I used the fabulous sketch on Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #161.

 For the sentiment, I did 1/2 on the computer and for the other half I used Dear Lizzy Foam Thickers.

I topped it off with a Basic Grey bloomer from their line, Jovial. Who knew a Christmas flower would look good on an Anniversary card!!

I made this card for a friend's friend. That's right. =]

I like how this card turned out but every single part of it gave me a headache! Every single step.. it was so frustrating!! Thankfully, I got it done and liked the end result!!

I used Try Stampin' on Tuesday's Sketch #71 for this card.

I completely forgot to take a picture of the card before I dropped it off, so thankfully my friend took it for me and it came out beautifully!! 

You can't see it too well, but I used pink wire and curled it to make little flourishes. I used Queen & Co. 1/2 pearls on the ends of each one.
