My Facebook Fan Page!

I finally got my Fan Page up and running this weekend, yay! I'm hoping that it will help increase sales in my Etsy Shop.. I've been told it does that!
Click on the link above to go to my Fan page, and don't forget to fan me!
If you do fan me, and then make a purchase in my Etsy shop, you'll get 10% your final order price. It has no expiration date, so if you fan me now and make your first purchase in 2 months, you'll still get it.
If you refer others to fan me, you'll get a free goodie with your 1st purchase. With every 5 people you refer, you get more free goodies. Who doesn't like discounts and free goodies?? I know I do! Just tell who you refer to leave me a comment on my page telling me who referred them so I can keep track of the free goodies. This discount is only available to people here on blogger!
Benefits of becoming a fan?
  • You'll be the first to know when I've added new items to my Etsy Shop.. first dibs if you will.
  • You'll get updates of new things I'm working on and can be the first to buy.
  • I will have discounts, give aways, and contests for prizes. Again.. who doesn't like free, or at least discounted stuff??
  • You'll get to chat with me personally. If you leave a comment or question, I will be the one to write you back, no one else.

CPS #123 + Color Inspiration #53 = My Sissy's Birthday!

My Grandma asked me to make a card for my sisters Birthday on the 9th. I wanted to use my new pack "Hog Heaven" from Sassafras Lass. So, I did! (Item list of what I used at the bottom of this post.) I used Kristina's Color Inspiration and CPS Sketch, so those pictures are first.
I used Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #53. I knew I wanted to use, red, yellow, white and black but I needed another color, so I went to her out the old Color Inspiration to see if I could find one with all my colors and a extra.. I didn't have to look far!! I have to say again, I think she is AMAZING!

This card is also for this week at CPS.. #123. I love seeing how everyone interprets the sketch and what they're cards come out as.. It's such a fun thing to see every week.

The wait is over.... here it is!!
I'll add the card I make her tomorrow.. it's not all the way finished yet. But I have until Thursday, so I'm good!

...What I used...
  • Sassafras Lass - Hog Heaven - Red & White Polka Dots, Lil Yellow Hearts and lined scallop trims (Which they have one EACH piece of paper in their stacks, and it's ADDED onto the 12x12 paper, so you still get a whole regular sized paper.)
  • Basic Grey - Monarch - Butterfly
  • Doodlebug Designs -Photo Corner - Stick With It (If you haven't had a chance to try these and you like using glitter, check them out! Making Memories also makes them)
  • Ranger - Crackle Accents
  • Ranger - Stickles - Pink, Fruit Punch, Cotton Candy, Yellow
  • Doodlebug Designs - Bright Blue Glitter
  • Making Memories - "28" Rub-On Book - Card Sayings
  • Making Memories - Staplers & Staples (Turquoise)
  • Anna Griffin - Black Ink (which is the best Black Ink I've ever used!!!)
  • Cosmo Cricket - Pop Dots
  • Random - Ribbon and Buttons

Pictures vs. Money

This is the Father's Day card I made from my sister to my brother-in-law. The front says "A Dad carries pictures where his money used to be". I've wanted to used that quote for a card from him since I found it!! I wanted it to look like one of the plastic photo holders that go into walets for photos.. so here it is.. enjoy.

Color Inspiration #55

This is my first Color Inspiration! I love Kristina Werner's site, I'm on it everyday. I love everything she does, I can't express it enough, lol. So I thought I'd give the Color Inspiration Challenge a try this week. Thanks for peeking!

You touched my <3

This card was fun to make! Here's the link.. give it a try!!
I LOVE this paper. It's in DCWV recycled stack.

Uncle Greg & Klayre

For every holiday I make my niece a 3 x 3 card for that occasion. This "occasion" was that for 6 months I've watched her 2-3 times a week while my sister taught 2nd grade. Now it's summer, so she gets to be home with her. So this card is for her, I'm going to write her a little message about how much fun we had! All the mini cards I make her, she's not allowed to open until she's 18. Which will make me...... I can add that high, sorry. Enjoy the card!
This is the card I made for my Uncle Greg from my Grandma. I used the "Old Guys Rule" Paper because him and some other members of our family have the shirts, so I thought it would be perfect.

CPS #119

This is the sketch challenge this week at CPS.
Here's my take on it.. thanks for peeking!

My flower butterfly! I used 1 1/2 flowers and a bookplate for the "body" and ribbon for the antennas.

The rub-ons are from Bo Bunny. I was going to use my cousins intials for the circles, but I didn't have her middle intial, so I used a super big brad and used a congratulations rub-on.

A bunch of cards!

So, I'm a little behind on adding cards on here. So here's all my new ones, enjoy!

The gold flower on this this card is a piece of vintage jewelry from Ohio.

Makayla's 1st Birthday

A customer asked what the biggest card I could make was. She wanted a card for her Grand-Daughter's first Birthday. So I found the biggest envelope I could and went from there. It's 8 1/2 x 11 1/2.

I was bummed to find out that my picture of the whole card came out blurry! But here it is anyway.. and some detail shots that are unblurry!

Flower Kick

It seems like I'm on a flower kick these days! First the layered flowers for the baby's layout, then the photo turn one, and now Dahlia Flowers. My friend Amanda on scrapbook.com makes these on the cards she makes and they're just gorgeous. I wanted to see how they would look with a scallop punch, since they're usually done with a regular circle punch. This is how my 1st batch of Dahlia Flowers turned out.

Photo Turn Flower!

I've wanted to make a flower using photo turns for a while. I love how it turned out!!
I'm not so sure about the rest of the card though. What do you think?
Before you see the pictures.. this flower has a funny story attached to it!
I took out 7 photo corners about a week ago, put them on my desk.. and when i went to use them a couple days later, they were no where to be found. Not on my desk, not on my floor.. no where. So a couple days later I went to put my ipod back in it's case, which has a magnet closure on it, and when i turned it over, there were my photo turns!!!

I hand stitched the stems.

21

A customer needed a card for her Grand-daughter, I made that one, then her Mom wanted one for her daughter also! So this is that one.

I used crackle accents on the yellow rose and glossy accents on the lips and some of the X's and on the shadow of the 21 on the white cardstock. The put stickles on the numbers.

It has toule covering the pink cardstock, just for some extra texture.

Sketch #117 at CPS

Another week, another sketch! Granted it's only my second week, but it's great!!
