March Card Challenge Catch up!

I don't know why I wait until the last week of the month to finish all my cards for the Card Challenge! I really need to stop doing that! But, please enjoy!

This card is the for the Sketch Category. You can find the March Sketch in the right column of my blog under 2012 Card Sketches.

I wish I could be so clever to make this sentiment up.. but I did not! I saw it in Her Royal Awesomeness' gallery, which you can see HERE.

I bought these cute mustaches from Pickyourplum.com. If you don't know about that site, go check it out! It's a daily deal type site and every day they have super cute things!

This card couldn't be more out of my comfort zone! Like I told my boyfriend when he asked why, I said, "I don't do fancy!" I do however like how it came out.

This card was made for the Lift category. We lifted AndreaEwen's card "Pink Ruffled Ribbon". You can see it HERE.

For the ruffly ribbon part I used 2 strips of ribbon and overlapped them so it looks like one long piece. I the glue rhinestones in the center.

I got these flowers at the Scrapbook Convention.. there's probably 15-20 on a "ribbon" and I just cut them off to use!

I love this card! It looks so neat when it's finished! This card is for the Technique category, to make a Quilted Card. You can find directions on Split Coast Stampers, HERE.

Thanks for looking! Come back tomorrow for last weeks Instagram photos!

Snacks in Cabo

One of the stops on our cruise last year was in Cabo San Lucas. We walked around and were getting hungry so we stopped at Alexander's and had some calamari and the best coconut shrimp EVER. It was so good!

This layout was made for the March Scraplift the person before you Challenge on Scrapbook.com. I lifted MissaOnTheRun's "Buried Treasures".

I used mostly Echo Park's Play Date for this layout.

Guest Designer @ Trendy Twine Blog!

I'm so very excited to be the guest designer today over at the Trendy Twine Blog! I want to thank Stacey for asking me to do so!! You can check our Stacey's blog here: Stacey's Creative Corner.

I was asked to use the Twisted Lime Trendy Twine.

For the card I used burlap, so cross-stitching wasn't the easiest on it, but by looking at it after it was finished, you'd never know it!

I found a shamrock icon on Google Images, traced it on my burlap and stitched the outside first, then the inside.

For my treat bag, this actually started out as a standard size brown lunch bag. I cut it down to the size I wanted and glued one side back together. I then traced a top note on the front and cut it out. I put acetate in the window so you can see the yummy Apple Licorice inside.

I put two eyelets at the top and tied and bow with the Twisted Lime Trendy Twine and added a button!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!!

Instagram: March 1-7

Have you heard of Instagram? Chances are you have and if you have, that means you're also using it! If not, it is an app that lets you share and edit photos. You can then share them on facebook/twitter right from the app. There's also people who host challenges. I'm doing one of the challenges by Fatmumslim. You can check out her blog right here.

Hope you enjoyed them! I'll be posting a weeks worth every week from now on!

118 to the 210

This was the 1st thing I ever got published in Scrapbook News & Review! It's part of Joey's Album. No one ever told me how hard a long distance relationship can be at times!! We live 2 freeways, all of LA County, 82 miles and an hour and 15 minutes away from each other.

Journaling: When we leave each other, it feels like there's a bungee cord from my heart to yours & the further apart we are, the more it tugs are my heart.

I cut out all of the road signs and stitched around the edges by hand.

Scrapbook Expo!

Happy Thursday!! Last night I met my boyfriend at Disneyland for the "One more Disney Day". Disneyland was open from 6am yesterday to 6am today. We left our houses at 10pm and didn't get in the park until 1am. It was INSANE! I'm glad we did it though... did it once, will never do it again.. just like New Years Eve!!

Last Friday, My Mom, my 7 month old niece and I went to The Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim. Wouldn't you know it was literally right across the street from Disneyland?! And no.. I didn't even go to Disneyland that day!

I wanted to share the goodies I got while I was there. It feels like I got a whole lot more last year when I went, but I'm excited with the things I found.

Doesn't this just make you smile from ear to ear?So, just for buying a ticket, you got a pack of Glue Dots' New "Dot n Go". I'm not sure how I feel about this already... the only reason I say that is because when I use Glue Dots, it's usually on something like a button or an embellishment that needs extra strength adhesive. So I wouldn't like it so much in a dispenser like this, but maybe that's just me!

I'll start off by sharing my favorite thing that I found! This is a sticker sheet from Creative Imaginations. The stickers were made to look like size labels on clothing.. I LOVE THESE!

I got 2 6x6 Crate Paper paper pads. I got Farmhouse (left) and Paper Hearts (right).

I also got 2 6x6 Basic Grey paper pads. I got Plumeria & Sweet Threads.

As you can see from the picture above, there were MANY ribbons to pick from. I knew I didn't really need any, so I just got 2! I also got some pleated ivory ribbon and some pink flower ribbon.

This is a bunch of random goodies!

The background stamps are made by Glitz and I couldn't pass them up for $5!! How cute are those trees and that snail? Super cute, right? They're made by My Little Shoebox.

Rub-ons from Fancy Pants and Glitz.

I got Fancy Pants' Creative Books chipboard. Check out the picture below for what's inside!

This is Vintage Ephemera from Me & My Big Ideas.

I also got about 60 loose sheets of 12x12 patterned paper. I got a lot of Fancy Pants and My Little Shoebox! And a bunch of random ones in between!
