Coffee Sleve Mini Album

Last year my Dad was at a job and they we're throwing away a box of Coffee Sleeves. There has to be at least 500 in this box, so he brought it home for me, lol. Wouldn't every Dad do that??

So, when I saw Ms. Missy's Coffee Sleve Mini Album Swap on scrapbook.com, I wanted to be a part of it!!

I've made a mini album before, but never with Coffee Sleeves. Or Java Jackets as mine say on the back!!

The Front - pretty simple front. The GIRL were red, green and white wood letters.

Pleaded paper and journaling spots on both side.

See the glittery green tab? It pulls out for more journaling/for pictures.

I guess I didn't take a picture of this one together, sorry!

I knew I wanted to use this quote some where!

On the left is a little pocket with a tag for journaling. The yellow glittery tag pulls out to put more journaling/photos.

These are my favorite! This was actually the 1st page I did.

I made the branch with Core'dinations, brown cardstock that has a tan inside. I twisted the paper and used glue dots to adhere it and then I sanded it.

The pink tab pulls up for more journaling/photos.

This one also has a little pocket that holds a journaling tag.

Halloween Goodies

A couple weeks ago my Mom gave me 2 of these clear containers.. I had no clue what I was going to do with them, but I knew I had to do something!! I decided to make this little treat for Klayre for Halloween.

I'm entering this in "The Sweet Challenge" at The Paper Variety.

It's also for the "Color Me Happy" at ScrapFIT. You had to use lime green, orange, purple and black. Check, check, check, check!

I'm loving this flower! I punched out 4 scallop circles with my 1 1/2 punch. I cut 3 of them in half, using the whole one as a base. After cutting them in half, I used 3 to make one cicle, overlaping on side. I taped them with scotch tape, just in the center, so they'd stay while I positioned them. I used pop dots between each layer.. I think it would be cute being distressed on the stright edges too!

I figured since Halloween is coming up, I better get the baby's 1st and 2nd Halloween layouts done!!

I used Sketch 125 at Creative Scrappers for this layout.. then took too long making it, so I couldn't enter it in the challenge.. oops! I'll learn one of these days!!

This is the munchkins 1st Halloween. Look at those chubby little legs and her rubberband wrists!

I've used these pumpkins before, I cut them out of a Heidi Grace Paper and used Glossy Accents on the eyes and teeth.

This is her 2nd Halloween as the cutest little lion ever!

Journaling: You really enjoyed stealing candy from Ga & Papas house! At times we couldn't tell if you had your mane on or not! Halloween Oct. 09

These Chipboard letters started out pastel.

R - It was as is, I just distressed the edges.
O - I added orange glitter and put Glossy Accents on top of it and distresses a couple spots around the edge.

A - I used Heidi Swapp's paint that dries glossy.
R - I painted it orange, distressed the edges and put white glitter polka dots on it.

I tied them together with black twine.

Masculine Cards...

I don't make masculines cards too well. I don't use a lot of flowers and bling, but for some reason they are just so much harder to make!! Anyway, an old friend asked me if I'd make her boyfriend a Birthday card and an Anniversary card.

First, I came up with a color scheme, so it wouldn't get too girly. I went with blue, brown and yellow.

My friend sent me 4 pictures and I wanted to use all of them, so I decided to make a photo strip. You know.. the kind you'd get from a photo booth! Yellow and black are his favorite colors, so that helped! I crumbled up the polka dot paper and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist.

On the 2nd and last picture, I made only certain items in color and used Glossy Accents on top of it.

I can always count on you

Before I get to my card... I went to the Paper Crafts Magazine site just to look around and clicked on a World Card Making Day link and saw.... ME! lol, I forgot about this somehow!

I made this card for the October Card Challenge on Scrapbook.com, for the Sketch Category.

Here is the sketch that I made. Feel free to use any of my sketches for inspiration, but please give credit where credit is due!!
I made the "I can always count on you" little spot. I don't know if you can see it or not, but it says "Thanks" in a really really REALLY light purple!

I used KI Memories Number Lace to use as a mask and used Glimmer Mist on top of it.

Thinking Of You

Evening... or Good Morning, depends how you look at it I guess =]

Happy World Card Making Day!!

I made this card for a couple challenges... you know me, God for bid I only include ONE challenge!! This card is for Challenge #52 at ColourQ. It's ColourQ's 1st Birthday this week and instead of just a fabulous color combo this week, Arielle threw in a sketch too! As a little extra treat, you get to pick your own color combo from this year! I've played a long a couple times, but not many, so I had lots to pick from!!

Here's the sketch...

Here's the Color Combo I picked. Do you love it as much as I do??

Here's my card..

It's also for the October Card Challenge on scrapbook.com for the Product Category. This month the Product is to make your own flower embellishment out of cardstock or printed paper.

After I cut the green paper on the left of my card, I had a tiny piece left over and started to scruch it up to throw it away... then I though.. hm... I need a leaf and a leaf was born!!

This one is going to be a bit bulky to mail! But it's a fun flower to make.

Keep tuned because I'm going to make a tutorial on how to make this flower. I will of course post it here when it's done!

Happy Thanksgiving, amlost =]

So it's not REALLY Thaksgiving, but when it does get here, I hope you have a happy one! I lifted this design from page 24/25 of the September/October 2010 issue of Paper Crafts Magazine. I love this design because it could be used for any occasion and any type of pattern paper.. can you imagine the possibilities?!

This card is for 2 Challenges that are a lot alike this week! It's for Challenge #58 - Autumn Daze at A Crafty Little Place. It's also for the Something with Fall Colors on Stamp Something. Both challenges are to use fall colors.

I wanted to use all patterned papers and I just LOVE the red one. It's an alligator type deal! And it was on sale for 10 cents... can't go wrong with that!!

One wacky family tradition

I used sketch #68 on Twisted Sketches. The twist this week was "vintage". My take on vintage was the top photo from 1989.

I love these pictures.. the one on the top is my Dad and I in 1989. The bottom photo is of my sister and my niece from a couple weeks ago. This wacky tradition was some how passed down!!

This is the 1st time I used masking and glimmer mist on a layout. It did warp the layout a bit, but what can ya do?

This cute journaling spot was hand drawn by ~{Puppet}~ on scrapbook.com, oh so cute!

Klayre's 2nd Birthday - a 2 pager!!

I figured I better get moving on Klarye's 2nd Birthday pages since it's almost her 3rd!

For this page, I lifted Jazzescrapper's "October Birthdays" for the "Scraplift the before before you" Challenge on Scrapbook.com.

Journaling: Every year on your birthday, you get an eclair since your name is Klayre! You loved it, but it wasn't as messy as the year before!! With so many presents, you'd think it was Christmas morning! There were so many, we had to spread your birthday over two days.. one for cake and one for presents! You got some really fun stuff like the game Elefun, where you use a net to catch butterflies that come out of a blue elephants trunk! You got a kitty cat paino, a huge purple octopus balloon and Ga & Papa brought you a pink camo tent all the way from Montana! 11.10 & 11.11.09

And here is my second page, the present night! I used October Afternoon Sticker Labels to jot down all the goodies she got for her birthday. And that was just the things I could remember, lol. There was something in one of the pictures I didn't use that I STILL don't know what it is!

This is the most I've ever destressed =] It has Scattered Straw Distress Ink, then Chocolate Covered Cherries Glimmer Mist. I scratched up the clock with a nail file and put some ink on that too. See the little silver piece on my clock? That's really a watch piece! I bought it at our LSS a while ago.. for like 5 cents.

Way too long!

2 weeks with no blog post?! What is that about! I'm not too sure myself!!

On Friday, my Sister, my Grams, the little one and I went to Las Vegas. On Saturday my parents and my cousins joined us. Grams didn't know the cousins were coming, so it was a fun surprise for her 85th Birthday.

When we got to our room, I told my sister, that the hotel must have the same things in their buildings as we do in ours, so when there's an earthquake, it doesn't shake, just rolls. She looked at me like I was crazy. Which really wasn't any different from usual =] It felt like I was super unbalanced.

Fast forward a week and I'm still feeling like that. I went to the doctors on Wednesday and he said that from the pressure changes and everything, I just have motion sickness and it should go away on its own. Hopefully it will go away sooner than later, it's quite annoying!! I don't think I'm going to fall over or anything, but I can feel myself swaying... can only imagine what people were thinking at the store, probably that I was drunk!
Guess what!!

I OPENED MY 2nd ETSY SHOP, yay!

It's just that... a little bit of everything. Right now, I just have buttons listed, with many more to come. Hopefully within the next couple days I will get pictures of all the other goodies I have to list! Let me know what you think of my new shop!

A whole bunch of cards

Important news first... The Paper Variety Design Team.. I didn't make it! Aw man! Who didn't cross their fingers?? =] Oh well, I'm still looking forward to their challenges each Wednesday!!

Ok, so I have a bunch of cards to share today! The first 2 cards are lifts of ~Wendy~'s, "Enjoy it" card on scrapbook.com.

I used Glimmer Mist on the bottom layer of the snowflake and obviously on this one too.. all over!

I made this card for the September Card Challenge on scrapbook.com. It's for technique, which was Brickwall. I found the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.

It is also for Kristina Werner's Finally Friday Video Challenge, to make a friendship or hello card.

I made this card for my Grandma. She's turning 85 tomorrow. I made this card for Color Throwdown #108. It's also a lift of ~{Puppet}~'s Happy Birthday Card on scrapbook.com. I love her style!

I made this card for the September Card Challenge, for Sketch. It is a 3rd Anniversary Card for my Sis and Bro-In-Law from my Grandma.
